The computer is my thing. Whenever I feel that I want to be alone, I leave the dinner table or wherever I happen to be, and I lie on my bed, turning on my little laptop with one hand. I feel perfectly safe and happy on the computer: nothing can hurt me and no one ever bothers me here. It's my own little world, all to myself!

I like making web sites: I have three or four now, all about different topics that I found quite interesting at different times in my life. I am really quite interested in website designs, and working on web sites for fun means that I can practice my website designs skills, andperfect them for a future career. Yes, that's right, I would really enjoy getting a job involving computers or gadgets of some sort. I think that website designs would be a great career option, but I'm not sure how many people would want their web sites designed by someone other than themselves. I certainly wouldn't: I would happily, and indeed have; set up web sites for the sheer fun of it.

Maybe I should make my own emailing service! Email was always very exciting for me, and I loved to read through all of my monthly newsletters from various people I had subscribed to. I do not think, however, that email is quite so interesting as website designs. No, the thing that always interested me the most was without a shadow of a doubt website designing.

I enjoy games on the computer, but I am not really that sure at al whether I would be good at making them, or if I would even enjoy doing it. I can not say that I am a particularly creative person, and writing a plot to a game would be very difficult for a person such as myself. I was never into games at school anyway: and I don't like sport in the slightest. I tried surfing once or twice, but I was absolutely terrible at it. Apparently they don't do boards big enough for slightly obese people.

The other day I found a web site on the Internet that said it would give me a long list of careers options that might just fit me. At the time I was tired and did not pay much attention to it, but I think I might go and download the information now. It seems like a good idea, to see what sorts of jobs there are out there involving computers.
