Lou often used a different user name for each social networking or internet dating site that he accessed. However his favorite user name is the 'Moderator'. Once an online girl friend asked him about the meaning of his user name; he told her that it described his personality. He claimed that he often acted as a mediator for colleagues, friends and family members; and they bestowed the name Moderator on him, saying that it suited him perfectly.

Lou's favorite online persona is that of a system developer working for a website designing company. Asked for a description of his daily routine, he would say that he either worked from home, or carried his laptop to the internet cafes or wifi hot spots to work, while taking his meals or coffee breaks. He window dressed his job and personality, projecting himself as a high-flying go-getter sort of person. Of course, he is totally the opposite.

Lou had laziness refined to an art; he daydreams and fantasizes regularly - had he employed his brains in more realistic ventures, he would have been a success in his field. However he felt that expending any sort of effort is beyond him; he is made for greater things.

Each evening Lou would turn up at the internet cafe with his laptop, and sign onto his favorite sites. 'The moderator is here at your service' is his tagline on his profiles at the internet dating sites. Spending two to three hours online is his way of escape into the fantasies of his own creation, where he could govern his destiny and tell others about his imagined success. In the meantime, he would work his charms on some of the young female patrons at the cafe. Most of them ignored him; some would giggle and joke privately about that 'old lady killer'.

The cafe owner, Ken laughed when he thought of Lou's reason to visit the cafe so often. 'He told me that he is promoting a new search engine' Ken told his buddy. ‘Till today I have yet to see or hear anything about it. Most of the time he is at his laptop, accessing the internet dating or social networking sites. I bet he told his wife he is working hard. What a sneak!'
